Working in Harare

Hi everyone, I got a three-year contract offer to work in Harare. I'm currently living in Canada and am very suspicious of the living conditions in the capital of Zimbabwe as it seems to have food shortages and water/electricity lost. Is it really that bad? I would need someone who lives there to answer that question if possible. Thank you.
