Moving to Finland...general advice? (Helsinki)

Hey all,

So I am moving to Turku with my Finnish girlfriend pretty soon, however as an American obviously I need to apply for a residency permit. We are attempting this based on "Cohabitation", meaning we have been seeing/living together 2 years total and now wish to continue the relationship in Finland while she finishes her Masters degree. Does this sound doable?

Anyone know how easy it is to find some part time/under the table work? I have a MSc from University of Edinburgh and I am enrolled in a course to teach English and I am sort of wondering how I can supplement an income while I look for a real job while not speaking Finnish...so any ideas are welcome.

Also, any Americans in Turku? Be nice to watch the SuperBowl with someone
