Decent Wifi Coffee Shop Near To Kwa Wan? (Hong Kong)
Hi everyone.
I am visiting Hong Kong for the first time and am working on my laptop while I am here. I have been here three days so far and will be here for another week and a half. So far I have had a lot of trouble finding a decent place to work.
I know there are abundant cafes on Hong Kong Island. However, I am staying in East Kowloon, in To Kwa Wan, and due to two herniated discs in my neck, I am really hoping not to have to lug my computer all the way out there every day.
So far, every option I have found in Kowloon has suffered from one or more of the following problems:
- Terrible connection.
- No outlets.
- Wifi only available for short-term (i.e. 20 or 30 minutes).
- Doubles as restaurant and becomes crowded and noisy during lunch and dinner.
- Closes too early.
The last two items are a problem because I am working for people in the States and need to be available till at least 9pm. Since I Skype a lot in the evenings, it is not acceptable for noisy dinner patrons to fill my work calls.
Can anyone recommend a suitable place in Kowloon, preferably near To Kwa Wan, where I can work? I can't tell you how relieved I would be to not have to waste another day fruitlessly running around town.
Thanks so much folks,
-Nick
