KATOEY (SYNOPSIS)

When Australian tourist Jonno unwittingly falls for the charms of Thai ladyman Sai he gets more than she bargained for. As local police chief Somchai, constable Narong and Jonno’s mate Marty crank up the heat of Sai’s interrogation, Jonno’s dream holiday of sex in the Phuket sun delves into ever darker places…
Featured in last year’s inaugural Fringe Firsts play reading festival, this world premiere of 'Katoey' is yet one more every day tale of corruption, torture, sexual abuse and cross-dressing karaoke from Not So Loud veteran writer Rob McBride.

The strong language and subject matter plus occasional (male) nudity make this production unsuitable for children.

Drama (In English)
