Living in Ica

Welcome to the friendly InterNations online community. We'd like to extend a huge welcome to expats living in Ica, in Southern Peru. It's a great city for both tourism and relocation since there's plenty to see and do. Whether you're living in Ica now, or you're new to the expat lifestyle, our online Expat Magazine is written with the needs of an expatriate in mind. In it are articles that deal with various expat issues, which are faced every day by global minds who are living abroad. Our platform furthermore contains discussion groups and forums. Many of our members use these to ask questions about housing, salary, visa issues or storage facilities in the city to which they've been relocated. As our members join us from many different countries, they also use our website as a way to socialize with other expats and find out about one another’s experiences. Plus, many members also use InterNations to organize meet-ups with new friends, whom they have found on our network!

Moving to Ica

Located in the middle of sand dunes, Ica is known as “The Land of the Sun”. There are plenty of sights and desert sports on offer for expatriates moving to Ica and the H견hina Lagoonhe is worth a visit, given that it's the only oasis in South America. Many of the sights showcase prehistoric artifacts from the Spanish colonial era, including the Museo Regional de Ica. There are, for example, mummies and funerary bundles on display there for the interested expat in Ica to marvel at. If you're keen on trying the sandboarding or traveling the dunes in sand buggies, why not get in touch with other expats living in Ica who would be able to give you a few pointers as to the best places to get tuition and hire equipment. Make sure you share your fun experiences online and make all the other members jealous!

InterNations and the Lima Community helped me to learn a lot about Peru and the Peruvian culture -- not to mention Lima's nightlife. ;)
