Living in Irvine
Known to many as the City of Innovation, Irvine is an exciting place to work and live in. Expats living in Irvine might find their new life in California confusing at first, but you'll quickly come to understand the working potential and exciting lifestyle you can adopt whilst living in this Californian city. There are a few places you should visit if you're trying to get your bearings in the city. The Irvine Spectrum Center, for example, is a massive outdoor shopping center on the outskirts, which has a huge 21-screen cinema as well as hundreds of shopping opportunities. The San Joaquin Wildlife Center, on the other hand, is a great place to visit for people who enjoy spotting rare animals - this is a nice place to spend the day with your family if they're living in Irvine with you.
Moving to Irvine
In 2008, CNN Money named Irvine as the fourth best place to live in the United States. This is due to its brilliant schools, good job availability and affordable but nevertheless high quality housing. If you're thinking of moving to Irvine, you should rest safe in the knowledge that it has a very good reputation. At first you might feel unsure about moving at all, as there are lots of things that you'll need to sort out before you move - you need to track down storage for your old belongings, sort out the correct paper work to be able to work overseas, and make good preparations for your family members while you're away.
