Geographical features of Turkey (Istanbul)

I've asked my Turkish adult students if they can mention some lakes, rivers, and natural places in Turkey. To this day, no one has been able to even tell me the names of the mountain ranges here. This is so sad. They can say the Bosphorus and talk about the Black Sea but other than that, zero. I also don't understand why I don't see any RVs or why people don't even take road trips here. Turkey is a beautiful country. There is more to it than just the beaches. What do you think?
