Living in Maslak (Istanbul)

This is my first post on Internations, so I recently moved to Istanbul, I was living in Samsun and relocated with work.

I hate driving here, so I found a flat in Maslak walking distance to the office. I have a few questions if anyone is willing to help!

1. Everyone tells me living in Maslak is boring, I only see the good parts of it though (no need to drive, metro is close etc) any thoughts?
2. Im living (going to move in still) to Mashattan which is a compound right in the centre of Maslak - does anyone live there now?
