Need advise! rental contract (Istanbul)

Dear Members,

I need advise. I am an American living in Turkey. I have 1 year contract and before I signed the contract, both the landlord and me agreed that I have to stay at least 6 months and if I decided to move out after 6 months, I need to give two months notice to the landlord. I have the WhatsApp conversation between us which the landlord agreed on this term but it was not written in the contract because the contract was in Turkish language which I signed. Can a tenant leave the apartment before 1 year contract with notice and reason that I am leaving the country to further my study and I have letter from university in EU to prove it?
