There’s no doubt about it: Jerusalem is a city of division and diversity. The popular pilgrim destination is a duocentric city known for its contested status, but also for its long history — first signs of settlement date back nearly six thousand years — and UNESCO World Heritage Site of the old city, its importance to three world religions, and much more! With the public transportation network consisting of various bus services and the Jerusalem Light Rail (JLR) line, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in , which are away from Jerusalem’s center.
