Room available for sub-letting (Sandton) (Johannesburg)
I am (sadly) leaving Johannesburg and my room is available for sub-letting through February Protected content . Perfect for someone who has just moved to town, works in the Sandton CBD and wants a well-located, safe and quiet apartment complex (it is fairly popular with expats).
For photos, please see the ad posting here: Protected content
Feel free to get in touch by email or phone if there are any questions or to arrange a viewing.
Location: The complex is called Protected content Road South. The actual road address is 3 West Road South. It is located near the corner of West Road South and Grayston Drive, next to Westpoint apartments and opposite the Old Mutual campus.
Apartment Details: Fully furnished apartment with 2 bedrooms, each with an ensuite bathroom. The apartment also has a decent sized balcony. You would share the apartment with 1 other person (an expat from Canada).
Facilities: Swimming pool, braai facilities.
Nearby Amenities: Benmore Shopping Centre (with restaurants, grocery stores, banks, telecom and other services) is about a 3 minute drive away Protected content walk). Sandton City is about a 5 minute drive away Protected content walk). McDonald's is about a 3 minute walk away. There are also a number of bars / clubs (The Baron, Newscafe etc.) on Fredman Drive, which is also about a Protected content walk. Virgin Active Gym is about a ~5 minute drive down Grayston Drive.
Parking: There are 2 parking slots assigned to the apartment (1 is currently used).
Lease: We have the apartment on lease through February Protected content . We also have an option with the landlord to extend the lease beyond then.
Pricing: Total comes to ~9,000 per month per person. Breakdown is as follows: ~R8,100 for rent, water, DSTV (cable); ~R400 per month for weekly cleaning services; ~R Protected content month for electricity (this is in fact a variable cost, but that's the typical range).
Availability: Available from within a week. Happy to be fairly flexible with respect to how one takes it on - e.g. a few months or through February. Can be structured month to month but prefer min. 3 months.
