Visa for Lithuanian Nationals - required or not? (Kampala)

Hi Everyone! I am planning to come to Kampala, Uganda soon to join my husband, as he recently got a new job there and his company told him that we would not need to apply for visas in advance. However he is British National, but I have a Lithuanian passport, therefore I suspect that the rules could be different, depending on a country. I checked online through Lithuanian travel agents and local websites claim that a visa is required for Uganda. Could you please clarify or help, if any of you are aware of the situation? Thank you!
