Primary Schools for non Dutch/French speakers (Leuven)

Hello Moms of Leuven. I am interested in finding out about the primary schools in the Leuven area and experiences other families have had. My children are 5 and 3 years old, we live in Italy so their first language is Italian and English as a second. I assume that public school is going to be extremely challenging since our children nor ourselves speak Dutch or French. What have other expats done in this case.
