Devoted to USA? or to? (Los Angeles)

If you live, work, go to school, have a boyfriend/grilfriend, marry or just stay for a long time in the USA do you feel "American" in the sence that you support the decisions of our Lawmakers or do you feel more attached to your ex-country?

I teach golf to a lot of women that have met and gone on to marry American guys. I have found that after sometime they like it here but affiliations to the "Cultural" Aspects are what they miss most about their country.

What are your views?
