No matter how overdone and cliché New Year’s resolutions may be, each new year comes with the feeling of new opportunities and new beginnings. This is why our communities kicked off 2023 with some pizzazz. From healthy hikes to rooftop parties, these are the highlights of January.
InterNations Frankfurt met at CloudEatery gardens for a Golden Pre-Sylvester Special Celebration. With mulled wine and German sausages, the gathering definitely had a Christmas market vibe, combined with a stylish and cozy atmosphere. What a nice way to end the year.
The Nairobi Coffee Lovers Group also organized a last impromptu get-together of the year. Everyone who spent New Year’s Eve in the city showed up for a relaxed afternoon. Many also made last-minute plans for the next day.
If one of your resolutions is to live a healthier life,, you’re not the only one. The Wiesbaden-Mainz Hiking Group started off with a 16.8 km hike through the forest of Wiesbaden. From Rabengrund to Sonnenberg Castle, the group stopped by some of the most impressive sights of the area.
A fun winter gathering was the right choice for the Wroclaw Eat & Relax Group to kick off the new year. After enjoying some delicious sushi at one of the best restaurants in town, group members headed out to the Christmas market for a cup of mulled wine.
A toast to the new year combined with a fine dining experience? Yes, please! The Bangalore DinnerNations Group enjoyed the best continental, Italian, and North Indian cuisine at Candles Brewhouse. A beautiful view of the city made the evening a perfect one!
“Hello 2023” was the motto of the Doha 30s & 40s Group’s first activity of the year. The rooftop gastropub offered a fantastic view of the city — it was a great way to end the work week and ring in the first weekend of the new year.
You live in Doha but missed the get-together above? Join the Doha Party Nights & Jazz Group on Friday, 20 January for their kickoff night. There will be live entertainment, an all-night happy hour, and a dedicated area for InterNations members.
On Sunday, 22 January the Amsterdam Outdoors Group will meet for a New Year’s Toast in Nature. During a social hike at the Waterleidingdunes Nature Reserve, everyone will have the opportunity to reflect on the previous year and enjoy the outdoors.
It’s a cross-over event for foodies: InterNations Naples and the Rome Neapolitan Culture Lovers’ Group will get together for their upcoming Happy New Pizza event on Saturday, 28 January. Members from Rome will visit the city on a weekend-getaway and the Naples Community for delicious pizza in the evening.
With the Lunar New Year fast approaching, the Hanoi Health & Well-Being Group got together for a walk in the blossoming orchards. The reason for this outing was not just to enjoy the beautiful surroundings and spend some time in great company but also to prepare for the upcoming Têt celebrations.
Join the Luxembourg Culture Group on Saturday, 21 January and learn about Chinese culture through art. A special guide will lead you through the display of 100 New Year paintings. Get ready for an artistic and cultural journey!
The Hong Kong Local Culture Group has something really fun planned for their annual Lunar New Year celebration: a graffiti party!
