Gozo or Malta

I am moving from Australia at the end of the year and have 2 school age children. I love Gozo but not sure whether to find a place to live there or not. My girls will be going into years 7 and 8. I am fortunate to have duel citizenship and so will my children. I have only been to Malta once and I just don't know what is the best for them. Any thoughts on living in Gozo as apposed to Malta. What about schools?
