Looking for some advice on my move to Manila

Hello,
I've received word that I'll be transferred for work for a Protected content contract in Manila. I'll be working in Ermita. Where would you recommend I start looking for places to rent. Also as far as transport goes what do most people do, taxis, drive themselves, rent a driver, public transportation or other? Any advice would be much appreciated!
