Yuan to Peso or Dollar to Peso? (Manila)

I currently live in China, been here for 7 years and relocating to PI this month (June Protected content have about $5,000 USD in cash, or about 30,000 Yuan. I have been getting a lot of conflicting information and would like someone with experience on how to get the cash into PI.
#1 should I convert it into dollars?
#2 what about a cashiers check or bank draft in Yuan or Dollars to be deposited in a PI bank?
#3 What about bringing in cash? Yuan or Dollars
#4 Finally, exchange to Peso's at a bank, or a money changer?
I'll be in Manila for 2 days, then onto Iloilo where I will settle down.
