Australians moving to Santa Marta - where to begin (Medellin)

Hello All, hope this post finds you well. We are an Australian couple in our early 30's who, along with our 3 dogs, will be moving to Santa Marta in October this year. We have a 'promise to buy' in place for a property in Magdalena but are finding it difficult to get info on visa's, requirements, english speaking lawyers, how to find a rental property for when we initially arrive...has anyone else been in a similar situation and could pass on some advice on exactly where to start?
