Visit to Validate our Visa (Melbourne)

Hi there, we are coming over to Melbourne at the beginning of March Protected content validate our visa and would like any advice with regards to accomodation / areas to live (we are coming over to live in August Protected content schools for a stroppy 13 yr old etc. We will only be there for a week so will try and cram as much in as possible. Could anyone point us in the right direction for suburb living (rental at first for obvious reasons, or even a company that could help organise many of the things that we would need to arrange before the 'big move'.
