Renewing British drivers licence (Mexico City)

Hey guys,
I need information on how to renew my British drivers licence, apparently if you don't renew it it can be an arrestable offence blah blah blah, so I need to know if theres a chance of renewing it here in Mexico, maybe at the British embassy??
I would like a new one as I like to drive about when home visiting peeps, which is not very often but saves taking the buses. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated taaaa!!
