InterNations — A Community for American Expats in Minsk

Hello to all Americans in Minsk! Are you interested in getting to know fellow expats in Minsk? Looking for advice from other Americans, e.g. wondering if there are any bars in Minsk which will be showing your favorite baseball or American football team’s upcoming match or where to go in town for st■ turkey?

There’s no doubt about it: Minsk has the potential to surprise you. The Belarusian capital is a growing city known for its Soviet past, though it has changed much since, with cosmopolitan pursuits ranging from hip restaurants to an affordable but high-quality performing arts scene, and much more! With the network of two metro lines — and a third to open in 2020 — buses, trams, and trolleybuses, navigating your way around the city from one place to the next is simple. This also means that if you don’t want to live among the hustle and bustle of the center, you can enjoy a quieter life in Kamennaya Gorka, for example, or the Maskouski district, which are approximately a 40-minute commute away from Minsk’s center.

Although Minsk has lots to offer, you might be wondering where and how you can meet other Americans in the city. Luckily, InterNations is here to make this easier for you! You’re warmly invited to join the InterNations community. Within our international network in Minsk, there’s a vibrant circle of American expats from all regions of USA, including New York City, Los Angeles, and beyond.
