DIY move to Monterrey from the USA?

HI,

I am beginning a new job in Monterrey August Protected content currently making my plans for the move. I am an educator on a tight budget and so far the quotes I have gotten are way more than I can afford. I am planning to drive a small moving truck, towing my small car to the border at Laredo, but still haven't figured out how to move my belongings from there to Monterrey.

Does anyone know of a local moving company on the Mexican side that might be able to meet me at the border to transfer the load and then cross together? Am I crazy to try to do this myself without a broker?

I appreciate any help!
