Motorcycle or Moped (Niamey)

Hello all. I am in need of a form of transportation. I don't want a car as I will only be here a few months and don't want to deal with the hassle of selling a car nor deal with mechanics who may overcharge me.

Can anyone tell me of a good place to buy a motorcycle or moped? What do I tell the taxi driver to get to a shop or maybe an area where there are many shops.
