Moving to Pattaya
The cost of living in Pattaya is considered to be low, and much lower than the cost of living in other major resort cities. Located approximately 100km from the Thai capital Bangkok, the city is located on the coast and any expatriate moving to Pattaya will find that the city has a tropical wet and dry climate. Whilst temperatures are hot all year round, the driest months are from December until February. Expats relocating to Pattaya will find that the city has a number of recommended schools, including a choice of international schools. There are a number of ways to get around Pattaya including road, rail and bus – which also offer easy connections to Bangkok and other destinations in Thailand. Expatriates new to the city should join InterNations, the largest online expat community in the world, the members of which could help provide information and advice about moving to Pattaya and Thailand in general.
