Looking for advice on getting married... (Penang)

Hi guys
I am a British teacher employed here legally with a work visa, and I want to marry my Malaysian (non muslim) fiance.
I am divorced from a previous marriage from the uk and so this may complicate things.

Has anyone got any advice?
Have you married a Malaysian and found anything difficult? or easy?
is there a step by step guide on what to do anywhere? or a checklist?
Will I need to change my visa?
