PP Community College - Double Workshop: Creative Writing Crash Course & Songcraft
The Phnom Penh community college is pleased to announce a couple of workshops by the much admired William Triska on Saturday 10th August.
Creative Writing Crash Course: For those with a story to tell
This course during the morning aims to provide a broad spectrum of information and activity geared towards developing an understanding and ability necessary to pursue writing on a variety of levels. The course will cover the basics of writing for fiction, blogging, journalism, and non fiction. So if you have ever wished to be able to write for pleasure or profession, consider that with the right tools you can write the books you have always wanted to write, reach the audience that matters most to you, and convey a story that will provide a unique illumination to the world that only you can deliver.
Songcraft: The method and madness of cultivating your very own bewitching tunes
Music stands as one of the oldest traditions in the world, out-dating nearly every craft, and providing some of the most universal appeal available in the world of art. In this course run during the afternoon we will take a very quick look at the history of song, and discuss the nature of musical generation, as well as a discussion of what resources are available for aspiring musicians. The primary focus will be on reaching the motivation of the musical tyro, and harvesting that energy to reveal the inner music mastermind. All musical styles are suitable for this course, so long as the artists bring an open mind and a desire to explore music.
Phnom Penh Community College is located in the heart of BKK1 at The Capacity Specialists Training Centre (Cnr Streets 63 & 294, entrance on Street Protected content .
The workshops will be held on Saturday 10 August, 9am – 12.30pm (Creative Writing Crash Course) and 1.30pm – 5pm (Songcraft). US$30 for each workshop. US$50 per person for both, or bring a friend and pay US$40 each
