2017 NL Health Insurance (Rotterdam)

It is that time of the year to re-evaluate your expenses, including the mandatory health insurance that you can only change at the beginning of the year. The Protected content have been released and they have all increased around €10. Question #1: why does it increase so much every year?

I am still in the process of research and I wonder how you are all doing yours? I just want to share that this is how I'm approaching it:
1. With mrmoneymoustache's classic as a reference point: "Safety is an expensive illusion" Protected content --The statistics may not be applicable to us in the Netherlands, but it's more of the bigger picture.
2. Currently, I've rushed through computing the premieres without doing a side-by-side comparison of each benefit yet. Companies I've listed are:
