As you can guess from the name, Euro School is very different from the popular schools around Sana'a.
Euro School bases its curriculum on the national curriculum of Britain with an addition of the ideas, theories and practices prevalent internationally, and with modifications designed to meet the needs of local students. The curriculum encourages students to take an active part in the learning process and the various aptitudes and strengths of individual students are identified and honed. Education at ES therefore focuses on providing a personalized and engaging curriculum that develops students physically, intellectually and socially. ES works towards exploring the innate potential of each student, believing each student to be unique. The programs incorporate an integrated curriculum that promotes learning through music, art, drama, projects, computer activities and outdoor play.
Secondary students follow a full range of subjects that are linked to the National Curriculum of England and Wales, but modified to create challenges appropriate for an international education and to meet the requirements of the Yemeni educational system. Students follow a full range of courses leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations, while local students also sit for the Yemeni Ministry of Education examinations for grades 9 and 12.
The school also provides various after-school activities.
