Moving to SP from Curitiba (São Paulo)

Hello Friends,
I live and work in Curitiba now but planning to move to SP but I am confused if this is good time to shift since I don't know how is the job market and housing/rent and school and I heard it is bit expensive than Curitiba.
Any tips and advise would really help to make this discussion and this community is a great way for us to share the experience.
