US Citizen Marrying in Brazil (São Paulo)

Hi All!

I'm a US citizen that will be marrying a Brazilian citizen. We've just started the process and know from the little research that we've done that it would be easier to get married there, since we'll be living and working there. With that said, is there anyone who would be willing to provide insight into the steps required for marriage and starting the process of obtaining my citizenship? I've seen that there several documents that need translation, submission, etc. but the information that I've found is around 10 years old and I know how quickly things can change with Brazilian bureaucracy. :) Any help/suggestions/recommendations would be GREATLY appreciated!

Also, an additional bit of information is that I have a daughter that my fiance will be adopting. Is anyone familiar with the adoption process of a foreign national in Brazil, and how this will come into play with immigration/marriage plans?
