Charity Bike Ride (Shanghai)

Tour de Bund charity ride

The Tour de Bund is an annual bicycle race held in the heart of Shanghai. The first Tour de Bund was held in Protected content , which lasted for approximately three hours and covered 30 kilometres of road around the Bund in Shanghai. The goal of the competition is to attract individuals and teams of riders from cycle clubs or companies, both domestic and foreign, to come together and raise funds for the cause of healthy living and promote carbon-free travel.

All funds raised will be used for the Raleigh China. In the past three years, the event had over Protected content participants and more than Protected content media partners, who had risen over RMB 120,000. The value of the media exposure for the Tour de Bund and its partners exceeded RMB 5,600,000. Starting from Protected content , Shanghai Daily started to be involved with this event since it entered into a strategic partnership with Raleigh China and The Peninsula Shanghai.

This year's Tour de Bund will be held on 20 September, and the event will be taken up to another level. The aim is to create diversity by gathering foreign and domestic participants, with the target set at the total number of cyclists increasing to 14% compared to last year, and the total money raised exceeding last year as well.
