Getting involved with all things local (Singapore)

I have just tried out some courses with the local community centre and perhaps this is of interest to others as well: There is plenty on offer from cooking courses to conversational mandarin, tai chi, photography courses and the popular 'Western Line dance' ...there are courses designed for adults and kids, teaching language seems to be mainly English.
