bringing a car to Albania (Tirana)

Hallo Tirana community,

I'm in the process of moving to Tirana as I write this and I have a question regarding our car that we are going to bring.

My question is what is best?

1) to keep it on the Dutch license plate (and insurance) as we have it now?

or

2) to actually register it in Albania and drive it on Albanian plates and insurance?

If you have any experience with this please share - good or bad,
