Any good advice please (Valencia)

I am visiting Valencia (city) for a week at the end of November, to look to buy a cheap apartment. It would be for occasional use for me, my family and friends, and to escape to a warmer climate for a bit of winter-sun. My main residence would continue to be in Britain.

Any useful tips or guidance, or things to avoid, would be much appreciated.
