Your advice/ stories of moving to Wien from USA (Vienna)

My heart is set on relocating to Vienna. I love the city, the art, culture, food, lifestyle… everything really. A few of my best friends live there. I also am with an amazing woman who lives nearby. So I have a lot waiting for me. I just am having a HELL of a time figuring out HOW I'm going to make this happen.

I tried reading the Visa requirements and all… I see the things I need to do, but its hard to figure out the path from where I am now to where I want to be. Its a little overwhelming and confusing.

I think it would be beneficial to me to hear stories of people who have done exactly what I am trying to do. Advice, how to's, the path to a working visa… or links to good resources would be helpful as well. I know its possible if I set my mind to it, but again, sometimes its too much to grasp.
