American expat making the move to Paris

I am an American and moving to Paris this year. After living 4 years in Warsaw, I have decided to move on, because 1. I have always wanted to make Paris my new home. 2. I am bored with Warsaw. 3. I want better opportunities in film and I want to improve my French skills.

I would like to know if there is anyone out there preferably a non-EU citizen who has moved to Paris and what their experience has been and if they could give me some friendly advice on moving to Paris. Mind I have been to Paris before, I studied French there for half a year. And now I am going back.
