The Corporate world

Knowing how adorable dogs are, I dunno how did these people come up with this idiom.
When I 1st entered the corporate world I was so surprise on how fierce people can be when it comes to promotion, position, raise, tackling clients. Imagine how fierce wild animals look like when going for the kill, that's how! People would go beyond the boundary to get what they want base on my experience(blackmailing, threatening) and it's frightening. I am the kind who would step back and let the desperate ones eat. I can be aggressive if it's needed but not desperate. I will find my prey somewhere else with poise where I do not have to lose myself respect. Is it wrong?

Can't people work with some decency and not play dirty, in other words - play fair? When people come to the point where they have to play dirty on someone it only mean one thing, they are threatened by that person's performance. Right or wrong?

This dog eat dog world is unhealthy.
