God Bless America - no more?

On a topic somewhat related to the Atheist Bus Campaign that originated in Europe, I've read the following story in The Wall Street Journal, that "in the early days of his administration, President Barack Obama has developed an unusual pattern as he talks about religion: He regularly puts nonbelievers on the same footing as religious Americans." I wonder whether with all the wrong notes coming from the Vatican, it is timely to move away from religions and their conservative leaders, and focus on the currently 15% - and counting - of nonbelievers, who also call the "God blessed" United States their home.
