LOVE CRY

Love! Hear my cry and give me strength;
shower me with your warmth to keep me sane
and make me a channel of your expression;
to provide me with a sense of purpose.

Cuddle me and keep me warm in delight;
and consummate my soul so that I may keep
treading this arduous journey of life;
to reach the end with at least some repose.

Nurture my being and accord me some
semblance of reasoning in my trials and
challenges that I’m made to endure; so that
I may continue having faith, but not morose.

Comfort me in my darkest hours of pain;
and cast upon me your ever radiating
consolation that I may not seek in vain;
but bidding me well in compose.

Prod me with a sense of feeling wanted;
appreciated and missed by a living soul
so that I don’t feel alone or left out
in a crowded world; in affectionate pose.

Caress me with your erotic sensation;
and balm my heart so that I don’t feel
the chill of deprivation and destitution;
as if I am a prickly thorn and not a rose.

Soothe my aching mind and shine your light;
guiding me through a troubled path beset
with the ills of humanity and complexities
associated with life; like a song or prose.

Calm my troubled soul who cries silently;
reaching out to clutch unseen hands; as if
in the desperation of melee for I famish
a very small part of your magical dose.
