Hidden Gem - Bhutan

I can't stop talking about Bhutan since I got back from my trip... This country is absolutely ideal for experienced travellers who want a special and unique travel destination.

An ex-colleague first suggested the place as I'd just quit my lawyer job and wanted to go somewhere a little different. I'd already done a lot of Europe, East and South East Asia and I'm saving South America until next year. It's hard to describe the place in words but in short the place is spiritual, balanced and all about the beautiful nature and people.

There are quite a lot of good local companies you can book with directly (to save on costs and Bhutan isn't a cheap travel destination). I was given a contact by a my ex-colleague and it was much cheaper to just book directly with them (a lot of these local companies work with the international travel companies who charge a high commission).

I'm not sure if I'm allowed to share full details of the guys I booked with (may be seen as spam marketing)? In any event, they were fabulous and I would highly recommend them over the big companies out there both in terms of cost and quality of experience.

You might be able to search for them online - they're called World Explorist and are on Facebook but don't think they are hugely active online as they generally operate by word of mouth and through the big UK / US travel operators (expensive option!!). If interested I can message you their email address.

Again... it's just an amazing place!!!! Put it on your bucket list!
