Some people feel frustrated to see too many uncompleted tasks at work.

The following is key steps to be more productive and to feel satisfied with your work.

1. Generate energy:

To be productive, you need energy. Energy doesn’t come to you, you generate it.

Some ways to obtain energy is taking care of your body:

- - Sleep 7 to 8 hours

- - Hydrate your body

- - Nutrition

- - Exercise

2. Design your day:

After sleeping enough hours, hydrating yourself in the morning, and doing some stretches, take a moment to plan and design your day. See which tasks you should be doing first in order of importance. Here, you can visualize the results you want to obtain during this day..

3. Prioritize:

Do the most important things during the first hours in the morning. Many people do the easiest things first because they want to mark off many tasks from their list and in some way feel more satisfied while doing that. However, true satisfaction will come as you do the most important tasks because those are the ones that will bring you success.

4. Focus:

Avoid distractions. During the first hours of your day, don’t check emails, messages or requests from other people, which in reality; contain priorities that are not yours. UNLESS your job consists in answering phone calls and messages, don’t fall into that habit because it limits you from accomplishing your goals. Don’t astray from your priority list. Only answer these messages, phone calls and emails after, only if they will help you to accomplish your goals.

5. Entrust tasks to other people:

Explain with clarity the results you wish to obtain. That way, you will have more time to do your priorities. Do a continuous and proper follow-up with the people whom you have delegated these tasks.

6. Rest:

Take short breaks when you are tired or stressed out. These breaks should not last more than 15 minutes. During these breaks you can drink water, stretch, walk, meditate, or visualize.
