How to master a foreign language quickly

Watch, listen, read and write in the language of your choice.

Immersing yourself in a language means doing all the activities you would normally do in your everyday language, be it reading, writing, or listening.

Perhaps the easiest thing you can do is watch a television show or movie in the language you are trying to learn. Try to avoid subtitles, as you will tend to rely on them. To make things easier, try watching a show or movie with a familiar plot, such as a children's cartoon or an English-dubbed version of a film, knowing the context will help you decipher the meaning of the word and its meaning.

You should also try reading and writing in your new language. Find a newspaper or magazine and try to read one article a day, looking for words you don't understand in your dictionary. You should also try to write some simple things in your new language, whether it's a mock postcard or a shopping list.

Download youtube podcasts or listen to radio stations in your new language. This is a great way to immerse yourself in the language while you are on the go. This not only helps your hearing comprehension, but also allows you to hear the correct pronunciation of words.

Change your language settings on all your android, iphone and tablet devices so you can pick up words you already know in English but not in a new language.

Listen to songs in that language. Try studying the lyrics, then check the meaning. That way, the next time you hear it, you'll know what the conversation was about at the time.
