Medical services in Canada and the UK

I want to leave Austria again but my experiences with the medical system in these two countries has been so bad that it's all that is keeping me here.

But I wonder - was I maybe just misinformed? And so I hope that people who lived for at least a few years in either Canada or the UK can share information that may be helpful.

These were my experiences...
Toronto: Most family doctors are booked, so you either have to get a referral from a friend or have one assigned by the government.
In brief my experience when dealing with... nobody really knows. GP at a walk-in clinic: "Go make pee pee in here" (I was 26 at the time...)
A specialist then did an invasive procedure with barely any prior screening that made a private specialist in Vienna shake his head.
Any way to get better care even in Toronto? I found very little information on private health care. It seems to sort of exist but must not be common/profitable enough that they can afford proper advertising?

London: Went to the NHS website, saw a couple of GPs who didn't have a horrible rating (I do think it is great that the NHS has this rating system - the one thing I wish would also be common in other countries) in my catchment area. Turned out that none of them had their own office but they were all part of groups that were like the walk-in clinics in Toronto. Also had the same "not modernized since the 70s" charm. And so there was no guarantee that I would always see the same doctor and it felt even more impersonal than a single GP for whom you're #692.
Aside from the restriction with that catchment area, again - what about private options? When I look at reviews on google maps, most reviews in Central London are for "London Doctors Clinic". Which makes me doubt their authenticity. After all - what are the chances that almost all people rate the same single organization?

Stuttgart: Looked up reviews on google maps. On my second try, I found a very competent GP with accurate appointments, a modern office and e.g. New York Times among the reading materials in the waiting room. Best experience I've had by far in my whole life.

Vienna: GPs seem of lesser quality than in Stuttgart (either ridiculously high waiting times due to a lack of appointments and/or incompetent) but at least compared to Canada/UK most doctors accept new patients, there are plenty of ratings on google maps as well as docfinder and private services are plenty and appear to be pretty decent.
