My Thoughts about Racism and Xenophobia

Yikes, here I was hoping to join a global community and hoping to escape the craziness of hatred, judgement, ridicule, bullying and people just well hating on each other without even considering or placing empathy on each individual situation. I am Spanish/Italian/Puerto Rican and born and raised in America, desperately seeking to leave and anxiously and openly learning about different cultures outside of my own out of respect and belief that there is still human kindness. I saw this post and clicked on it only to see that xenophobia, bigotry, racism, bullying is sadly everywhere. It truly is sad and I have connected with some people on these replies and it's disheartening seeing some of the insulting and outright disrespect for most comments here. I do agree that as humans we all have the right to our own opinions, but with so much hatred globally if we really are concerned with these issues how are we to stop it if we ourselves continue to contribute to the problem. I learned and continue to learn a lesson as an adult and well as a human - regardless of race, wealth, nationalities, health, gender - we will all eventually end up dirt in the ground. How do you want to go down once you are gone and dead and how do you want to be remembered by is the one lesson my Father taught me and will forever stick with me. I truly hope for global peace all around, because this world is truly amazing and has so much beauty that it would be a shame if we all lose the privilege to explore it because hatred ultimately won. Peace. Annabella. : (
