Planning a trip to France, near the Swiss border

As an official guide, I am allowed to guide visitors inside the Castle where the French philosopher Voltaire (18th century) spent his last 20 years.
Besides the Castle of Voltaire, we can also go to Geneva across the border and /or to Annecy.
When and how long : in April for a week-end or longer.
