Shall Parents have access to kids social media?

Recently our Supreme Court ( Colombia) issued a law allowing parents to have full Access to their children social media and emails with no need of legal permission... Some people say it is a violation of privacy but others say that parents have to be careful about who contact their kids...

I personally agree 100% with it as there are too many freaks browsing internet who want to contact children and any measure to protect them is always good....
