Who can inform me on travel to Iraq?

I have booked a trip to Iraq for December. Will be staying in the unpronouncable city of Suleimaniya. Befor I go I would like to take some "lessons" on arabic culture and basic language, but I also would appreciate being informed of to-do's and don't-do's. Perhaps someone can arrange a local guide for me?
