Who is a higher body the Olympics or a local country club

There is a big debate going on between FIFA and some of the Europrean Football clubs about the release of key players for the Olympics .Eg would be Lionel Messi to play for Argentina despite opposition from FC Barcelona.The other players are apart from the 21-year-old Messi, playing for Schalke and Werder Bremen are Rafinha and Diego, respectively, for Brazil.

I think sports has reached a low end and such clubs should be banned from the world of sport as they have lost the sprit of the Olympic movement and debating if a European Champinship game is larger than the Olympics .
