Material Coordinator Post (Abu Dhabi)

Job profile:
The Material Coordinator oversees the procurement process of the organization. In coordination with the Purchase / Supply Chain Manager, he/she will manage from requisitions, quotation collections, technical evaluation by users, vendor technical and commercial clarifications, to screening report preparation, submission, approval, and finalization of the orders. It includes AMC services & contracts also. Responsibilities extend to post order activities including but not limited to, the submission of approved required documents (drawings, MSDS, sample approvals and others), follow up of the material availability for timely delivery of all orders placed, ensuring correct item/service delivery, customs clearance of import shipments and endorsement for payment processing. He is accountable for Vendor Development and Cost Reduction. Material Coordinator also oversees the warehouse management, inventory, and activities by supervising the Warehouse Assistant.
Education & Experience:
· Graduate or Diploma post-secondary diploma (3 years) in any Engineering or Commerce
· 5 years Procurement Experience in a manufacturing set-up. Experienced in Inventory management.
· ERP/SAP experience is preferred.
· Having good knowledge of UAE/GCC market.
· With importing process knowledge/experience of spare parts and equipment.
· Knowledge of ISO related quality systems and exposure of compliance related to ISO standards.
Knowledge/Skills:
· Technical understanding for procuring engineering/non-engineering products/materials;
· Importing/Exporting/Shipping/Logistics procedure knowledge.
· Good negotiation skills and soft skills.
· Good written and oral communication in English; Ability to communicate in Arabic will be an advantage.
· Computer literacy, (MS proficient and ERP/SAP efficient)
